Disclosure Of Affiliate Links

Affiliate Disclosure Rules By FTC

The adapted version of affiliate link disclosure was introduced in 2015, by the Federal trade commission.

The basic cause behind that amendment was to update the website visitor about the use of affiliate links or any kind of promotional content. According to FTC, its is consumers basic right to be well aware that if he is getting influenced by any content that is sponsored or is written for promotion purpose.

Affiliate or sponsored links are published on a website with a mutual contract between seller and web owner. As if any product will be sold via the traffic genertaic through that particular website the web owner will get a nominal share in that sale.

So if the web owner is adding some affiliate links or promoting any product, the reader should be disclosed about that. Adding affiliate links without bringing it into the knowledge of the buyer is against the business ethics and FTC law.

It is not unethical or against the law, if the blogger or the publisher is getting is using affiliate links to support his web. But the blogger should make sure that the product they are choosing is appropriate and beneficial for the user. Moreover, they should never misguide the user by telling a fact that is not actual but fake. If the blogger is getting that remuneration through a good product then it is totally fair

As per our lawful and ethical responsibility, we are sharing our business model with you so plz read below to understand the process.

Facts About Affiliate Links

There are a few myths and misconceptions that the buyer has to pay to the blogger in case of purchase. That is not at all the case, the blogger is doing that service free of cost for the reader interest. The only benefit or money he gets is from the seller it doesn’t affect the purchasing cost of the reader or buyer.

As the blogger is neither the seller nor the manufacturer he is not responsible for the product quality. But ethically he should never suggest a product without testing or making a survey with consumer reviews. Mostly the bloggers make a deep review of the market and after proper investigation brings recommend a product to the user. So the user gets the best product without much struggle and without wasting any money on wrong purchases.

In that case, they are not actually charging anything from the reader. But actually saving their money and time by suggesting them the right product.

Note: all the affiliate links added in this article are tried and tested and are already having the best ratings by consumers on Amazon.

Amazon Links & LCC program Membership

Coconutoilreview.com owns a membership at the LCC program. This program is beneficial for the web holders and bloggers as they provide them with a minimal amount of remuneration for reviewing their product. This remuneration helps the blogger to run the website or blog. Like these projects, those are fully free of cost for the reader do have a running cost.

But the Amazon treats all the products as the same and give the full freedom to the blogger to choose the best product. So the blogger adds affiliate links to the best products with high ratings. So buying from those websites with these affiliate links is not at all bad for the buyers.
